In 2019 I started playing with a new idea. These paintings are built from lines of color. I run my brush across the lines to blend the colors and depending on the direction of the brush stroke I achieve different, though complimentary, color schemes from the same lines.

For me, this brings to mind strings of a musical instrument, the tones blending, or each band a chord and the whole a tune. Or, the lines represent a genetic code put into play and a pattern or form realized.
